Guerilla Science at the Secret Garden Party

July 24th, 2009

Dr Petra

Tomorrow I’ll be taking part in the Guerilla Science event at the Secret Garden Party Festival near Huntingdon, Cambridge.

Come and join us from today til Sunday in the Guerilla Science tent where you can find out about topics ranging from how crowds behave, how music affects our mood, or find out when you’ll die. You can also have a go at the ‘bake a brain tea party’ (I’m assured you won’t have to eat real brains), join in the beatbox lab, or try out some kitchen science.

I’ll be hosting a pub quiz from 4-5pm tomorrow (Saturday 25th July) where you can test your carnal knowledge and see how much you know about the science of sex. There’ll also be the chance to anonymously ask any sex question you’d like answered.

Directions for getting to the site and information about the festival are all on the website (see above).

If you’re at SGP do come along and say hello while I continue to try and find more places to show how the science of sex can be interesting, entertaining, funny, and a little bit naughty.

To give you a taster, here’s a little film of the event from last year.
