There are still a few tickets available for next Friday’s Night of the Senses event in London (please note this event – and website – is for over 18s only).
This annual event celebrates everything sexy and includes the opportunity to dress up, play, watch and experience many new delights.
Here’s a description of the event from their website:
“It is the night in the year when open-minded folk come together from around the globe to celebrate sexual diversity with all genders and persuasions, in a safe, unhurried, no pressure, tolerant, joyful, fun environment. Uniquely, laughter blends with passion, beauty with disability, first-timers feel safe with old-timers, young and old admire each other, and people feel at home in the home-grown, unpretentious atmosphere, knowing that funds must be raised to support a very special charity.
The Night of the Senses invites sexual generosity and raises money for, and awareness of, the sexual happiness of disabled people. Our very name connects with people with sensory impairments who, like other disabled folk, find it difficult to find partners”.
The charity the event raises much-needed cash for is Outsiders – an organisation I was recently delighted to become a patron of. Even if you can’t make the Night of the Senses this year, perhaps you’d consider making a donation to the charity anyway
So mark this date in your diary – Friday 12th September 2008.
The Night of the Senses is taking place at Mass and Babalou, Brixton Hill, London SW2 1JF. Doors open at 8pm and the party goes on all night.
You can get tickets from a range of outlets (see website above). There is also a full explanation of the event and what to expect, information about previous years, plus instructions on how to enjoy the event respectfully, safely, consensually and sexily.
Disabled guests are welcome, although please contact organisers with specific questions about your access needs.
The evening begins with the announcement of the winners of the 2008 International Erotic Awards. An event that brings together the best sex performers, writers, campaigners, and sex workers to celebrate their contributions and encourage networking and support.
It’s a night of pleasure, performance and fun. It gives you the chance to learn about some inspirational people through the erotic awards, and it’s all in a good cause.
Order your tickets now – and have a great time if you go!Tweet
