Did you ever pick up a book and think ‘I wish I could have written something this good?’
This week I had one of those experiences. My colleague Gary Wood sent me a copy of his latest book ‘Sex, Lies and Stereotypes’, and I’m hooked!
You’re sure to have heard the one about women and men being so completely different “they may just as well come from different planets”. Well, Gary trashes that tired old stereotype.
Instead, he looks at how many pop psychology books place too much importance on the idea of gender differences, and shows how women and men may not be as different as you think.
There’s chapters on everything from understanding biology to improving your communication skills. And pages of useful quizzes to give you a better insight into relationships – and yourself.
So if you’ve ever wanted to know more about yourself, your partner, or how different genders interact, then it’s worth picking up. Writers, researchers and therapists should find it especially useful.Tweet
