I’ve long been an admirer of photographer Veronique Rolland. She is an amazing artist who can make any subject feel at ease, and can capture everything from high fashion to human interest.
Recently Veronique has worked with the organisation Redress to create an exhibition documenting stories of torture.
Bianca Jagger says of Veronique’s work: “This important exhibition of torture survivors should strengthen our absolute and unequivocal opposition to torture and ill-treatment under any circumstances, including war and any other public emergency”.
The exhibition – Torture: stories of survival is open from 6pm-8.30pm until Sunday 3 July at the.gallery@oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, South Bank, London, SE1 9PH.]
Veronique manages to capture people’s lives and experiences in sympathetic and beautiful images. I hope you can get to see her exhibition and support the work she and others are doing to highlight the stories of survivors.Tweet
